Papers : of George A. Kerr, 1927-1936.

The correspondence of Kerr, an executive in the Philippine Cutch Corporation, contains a great deal of business information as well as personal news and comments on the Philippine economy and government. Among his comments, Kerr discusses: daily life in Zamboanga; vacations in Baguio; and inter-racial marriage between an American man and a Filipino woman; Philippine relations with Japan; and the early success and circulation of Newsweek magazine. With the collection are some financial papers, the draft and a reprint, 1936, of Notes on the filtration of vegetable tannin solutions, a draft of The practical classification of some vegetable tanning material, and a reprint of an address to the American Leather Chemists Association, 1933.
